ANDREW CURPHEY

Andrew has worked extensively delivering theatre workshops and performing for over 22 years. He has been able to develop himself as a committed theatre practitioner, performer and entertainer.

 

In 2024 Andrew was a Semi-Finalist on series 17 of Britain's Got Talent. He had the opportunity to perform LIVE on ITV. Check out his performances here:

Seventeen years ago Andrew created the hugely successful Andrew Curphey Theatre Company. With more than 350 children and young people enrolled across evening theatre classes in Widnes, Runcorn, Warrington, Frodsham and St Helens. Each year the company produce various theatrical showcases and musical productions. Andrew continues to teach classes, direct productions, and manage the company. As a qualified teacher, Andrew’s work also includes delivering performing arts workshops in many local primary schools.

 

Andrew Curphey Theatre Company recently won Art's Organisation of the Year at Liverpool City Region Culture and Creativity Awards 2024.

In 2018 Andrew was commissioned by Halton Borough Council and the Mersey Gateway to create and direct a performance piece that was presented to Her Majesty the Queen and the Duchess of Sussex.

Upcoming: 20th April 2026, Kerry Ellis & Andrew Curphey present 'Buttons Meets Broadway'. This project brings together West End and Broadway star Kerry Ellis (Wicked, Les Misérables, We Will Rock You) and myself for an evening of song, story and laugher.
